Millionaire Marketing on a Shoestring Budget by Debra Jason
Millionaire Marketing on a Shoestring Budget came about shortly after 9-11. Many people were scared and started cutting back on their budgets and specifically, their marketing budget.
So in guiding my clients, I compiled a list of affordable ways they could maintain top of mind awareness. It’s a list of strategies that I used over the last 24 ½ years in business – and, I’m still here today, so I am happy to help others learn how to enjoy longevity in their business.
Guerilla marketer, Jay Conrad Levinson, said:
“One of the most common false economies (i.e. saving money in the wrong way) is cutting back on marketing itself . . . which means a probable loss of the investment in awareness that you’ve already made . . . To terminate your marketing investment to save money is like stopping your wristwatch to save time.”
So I say, “Don’t Give Up the Ship – Stay ahead of your competition.”
- You can market yourself without spending $3 million dollars for a 30-second Super Bowl commercial.
- Don’t let people forget who you are . . . where you are . . . how you can be reached.
- Do what you can to maintain a presence.
- Stay in touch with your customers, be it via phone, “snail,” or e-mail and ask them what they want and need.
Colorado business owners who want to succeed in good times as well as turbulent ones can’t afford to overlook the importance of marketing and the role it plays in their business’ longevity.
