SEO is one of the most affordable and effective ways to increase traffic and business to a website, yet a lot of businesses aren’t doing it or they’re not doing it effectively. If you don’t have a good SEO strategy in place, chances are your competitors do and they’re getting the clicks. After all, if customers can’t find you on page number one on Google, chances are pretty slim that you’ll get the website visitor instead of your competitor.
As you can see from the Google Analytics screenshot below, we were able to help one of our customers increase Google organic search traffic by 94% year-over-year. This ultimately resulted into an increase of nearly 70% in revenues compared to last year.
Got your attention? Here’s a summary of the things I’ll share during the presentation.
A Winning SEO Methodology
You need to have a plan and nurture it in order to make SEO work for you. I’ve developed a methodology which has worked for my business and also our customers as you can see from the example above. And here’s the kicker; it’s not rocket science and I’ll share it with the attendees during my presentation.
Google is Always Evolving
Google’s algorithm, which is the computer program that processes the billions search queries typed into Google, consists of 1000s of rankings signals and it is constantly changing. The search giant updates its algorithm over 600 times a year, which equates to almost two times a day! A lot of these updates are minor but they also release major updates.
Since more people now perform searches on their mobile devices than on their desktop computers, Google has placed a higher importance on websites being mobile-friendly. If you haven’t already heard about the Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) initiative, then I invite you to read this article and also view the expert interview about the topic that I hosted.
So how can you keep up with all these changes and make sure that your website outperforms your competitors sites on Google.
You Don’t Know Until You Know: Website Health Check
In addition to some of the more basic but important things about a website such as having a good design and high-quality content, a lot of things could be happening with your website “under the hood” that are preventing you from ranking higher. As a starting point, I invite you to use our free SEO website audit tool. In less than a minute, the tool will give you a snapshot of your website in an 8-page report covering the current SEO performance of your website along with all kinds of details such as page speed analysis, social media analysis, domain analysis and much more. Even small things could have a huge impact on your site’s SEO-performance. I recommend you take a look “under the hood” at least once or twice a year.
