Tristan De Guzman
An Automation-First Developer Building Smarter, Leaner Systems
Tristan De Guzman brings a builder’s mindset and a passion for automation to his role as Junior Developer on Boulder SEO Marketing’s AI Taskforce. What drew him into software development wasn’t the code itself, but the realization that a system, once built, keeps solving problems long after you walk away from it. That perspective shapes everything he contributes today.
Before joining BSM, Tristan worked on POS systems and a school management system, where he gained early experience architecting workflows that minimize manual labor. Throughout his education, he was consistently drawn to initiatives where he could engineer seamless processes, implement automation, and develop tools that eliminate redundant tasks. Building his first working system was a turning point: it wasn’t writing code that thrilled him, it was seeing something he created actually exist and function in the real world.
On the AI Taskforce, Tristan’s day-to-day is a mix of development, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
He builds new features, integrates external libraries to expand functionality, debugs and refines existing components, and contributes to UI and UX improvements that make BSM’s systems more user-friendly and efficient. He also collaborates closely with other developers in daily connect meetings to align on tasks and share progress, treating every day as an opportunity to learn a new tool, framework, or approach.
His core technical stack centers on TypeScript across both frontend and backend, paired with Next.js for web applications, Node.js for backend development, and React Native for mobile apps. He builds responsive interfaces with HTML and CSS, manages databases with MySQL, and uses Git for version control, regularly integrating external libraries and APIs for automation and AI-related features.
Tristan’s main contribution to the Taskforce is turning ideas into working systems and continuously refining them to be more efficient, stable, and user-friendly. He’s particularly proud of helping engineer automation workflows that autonomously gather, process, and generate structured outputs, eliminating repetitive manual tasks in favor of scalable, human-driven, AI-assisted solutions. What excites him most about the intersection of AI and SEO is the ability to scale impact: automating and enhancing content creation and optimization without sacrificing quality.
Based in Pampanga, Philippines, Tristan is drawn to strategy and word-based games outside of work, which challenge the same critical thinking and pattern-recognition instincts he brings to building systems. He values growth and independence, and takes pride in engineering smart, streamlined workflows that create freedom by making everything around them more intelligent.
