Consider Google Trends Data Before Investing in Keywords
I hope this message finds you well! Today, I want to share a simple strategy for finding keyword phrases that are actually worth investing in: analyzing Google Trends data. Check out the video above to see what I mean.
Daniel Waisberg, Search Advocate at Google, recently posted a video about Google Trends. For those who don’t already, it was a great reminder to use this incredible tool. If you don’t have time to watch the video right now, here’s a brief rundown on what you can do with Google Trends:
- Explore Trends: See what’s trending in search on a country-by-country basis.
- Daily Insights: Check daily search trends in real time, such as current Olympic searches.
- Category Filtering: Narrow down searches by categories like business or health.
- Granular Data: Analyze data from web searches, image searches, YouTube searches, and even shopping searches.
- Ad Insights: Discover hot markets for search terms, which can guide your Google Ads strategy.
- Related Topics and Queries: Get ideas and data to optimize specific pages on your site.
I highly recommend using Google Trends before locking in keywords to ensure you’re investing your time and resources wisely. You don’t want to optimize for a keyword that’s trending down. So, play around with it and see what insights you can gain!
