Surprise! Last week’s Friday SEO Tip is arriving today—and for good reason. On Friday, I finally got access to Google’s brand-new AI Mode experiment, and I wanted to test it out before sharing what I’ve discovered so far. Check out the video above to learn more.
Google quietly launched this feature last week, and I was lucky enough to jump off the waitlist right away. While I’m still exploring the ins and outs, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what this could mean for SEO moving forward.
In my latest blog post, “What Is SEO in 2025? Learn How AI & Generative Search Are Changing the Game,” I dive into the concept of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). With large language models (LLMs) cutting into Google’s market share, understanding GEO and how to optimize for alternative search engines is becoming crucial.
So, what’s AI Mode all about?
In the video above, I show you how AI Mode enhances search results with incredibly detailed, up-to-date information. For example, when I searched for “What is the best time of day for a photo shoot at Founders Park in Superior, CO?” AI Mode provided specific insights on golden hours and ideal timing—far more detailed than traditional results.
I predict that AI Mode could eventually replace Google’s AI Overviews or even become part of Google’s main interface. We’ll see how things unfold, but I’m excited to keep testing and sharing what I learn with you.
