How to Build Backlinks by Positioning Yourself as an Expert | Friday SEO Tip

For today’s tip, I want to show you one of my favorite platforms for building a strong backlink profile. It’s called Featured, and it’s a great tool that allows publishers to connect with experts who provide answers to relevant questions. Check out the video above to see what I mean.

In the video above, I walk you through the backend of Featured and show you how easy it is to get started. The platform lets you use filters to find the kinds of questions you want to answer. Once you find a query that matches your expertise, you can provide your answer and submit it for review. The goal? To get your answer selected in one of Featured’s “roundups.”

Here’s a real-world example: An answer I recently submitted was selected for the article “17 Indispensable Tools for Effective Keyword Research.” (My answer, by the way, mentions one of BSM’s favorite tools—SE Ranking. If you want to try SE Ranking, you can grab a free month here.)
