Urgent SEO Update: Will Your Site Be Mobile-Ready by July 5th?

Happy Juneteenth! I hope this message finds you well. I’m sending the Friday SEO Tip a little early this week so I can extend one last invite to our SEO workshop tomorrow, Thursday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT. There’s still space, so click here to learn more and register!

During the hands-on workshop, we’re going to walk you through the methodologies and tools that BSM uses to get webpages to rank on the top of the SERPs in a matter of weeks. (You can sign up for a free trial on our favorite SEO platform by clicking here.)

For this week’s tip, I also want to talk about the importance of backlinks and how quality matters over quantity. Check out the video above to learn more.

High-quality backlinks contribute to your overall E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) score, which is getting increasingly more important as the internet is flooded with “spun” content from LLMs. Google wants to be sure you’re the real deal before it ranks your content at the top of the SERPs.

While there’s no shortage of strategies for building backlinks, publishing press releases is one of our favorite approaches. At BSM, we use PRLog to distribute press releases for both ourselves and our clients. This ensures a high-quality backlink for every new page we launch right off the bat. Here’s an example of a press release we published in-house to simultaneously promote one of our team members and one of our case studies. We’ve found there’s always something newsworthy going on in the office, so don’t be afraid to get creative when it comes to brainstorming topics for press releases!
