Don’t Be Afraid of Google Core Algorithm Updates (Learn How to Get Excited About Them)

Before sharing insights on why you shouldn’t fear upcoming Google Core Algorithm updates, I’m excited to announce that I’m hosting an hour-long webinar tomorrow, Thursday, June 16, 2022. Webinar Deploy Global and Multilingual Micro-SEO Strategies to Rank Your Content at the Top in Google is part of the Globalization and Localization Association’s (GALA) webinar series, and I hope you’ll be able to join me.

Getting Your Website to Rank at the Top in Google Takes Time

You’ve probably heard that SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. Getting your website to rank at the top in Google for its target SEO keywords takes time, resources, and search engine optimization knowledge on how to make it happen. Even addressing the most important ranking signals in Google’s algorithm is a TON of work. And once you’ve fully optimized the site, Google will unleash a Core Algorithm update that will leave you questioning all the hard work and time you’ve put into optimizing the site.

Fun fact: Did you know that Google updates its algorithm on average twelve times a day? Although usually minor updates, these updates can still impact a site.

Did you notice a significant change in organic search traffic to your site at the end of May? If you did, your site was most likely affected by Google’s May 25, 2022, Core Algorithm update. This massive update rolled out for two weeks and ended rolling out on June 9, 2022.

Make Core Algorithm Updates Your Best Friend

With this latest Core Algorithm update, Google’s search engine took an incredible leap. Hands down, Google’s algorithm is so robust it’s nearly scary. Google finally figured out how to significantly reward individual pages on a website, even if the entire site is not fully optimized.

So while many site owners fear these Core Algorithm updates, as they will likely negatively impact their site, here at Boulder SEO Marketing, we’re always excited to see these updates rolling out. Why? I recorded a short video on this topic as part of our Friday SEO Tip video series. You may view the playback of the video right here:

As noted above and in the video, the last Core Algorithm update occurred in November of 2021. Google tends to roll out the major updates every three months, so be prepared for the next update to hit sometime in late Summer or early Fall.

Will Your Site Be Ready for the Next Core Algorithm Update?

Suppose you’ve attended one of my speaking engagements lately. In that case, you know that my team and I are all about implementing Micro-SEO Strategy ℠ for our customers and our website. Not yet familiar with Micro-SEO Strategy ℠? Make sure to watch this hour-long webinar that our COO Daniel Burns and I recently presented:

These Micro-SEO Strategies ℠ are so powerful and effective that I highly encourage you to launch one or two before the next Core Update hits. I do not doubt that you’ll see impressive results.

Bonus Tip

Once you’re done optimizing and publishing your Micro-SEO Strategy ℠ page to your site, run it through the SE Ranking On-Page SEO Checker. This On-Page SEO Checker is part of one of the most comprehensive SEO tools on the market. If you’d like to learn more about this tool and why and how you should put this On-Page SEO Checker to work for you, make sure to watch this video:

In my 25 years of being part of the SEO industry, I’ve seen a lot of tools, but this tool is so phenomenal that you have to see it to believe it. If you don’t have time to check out the video above, here are a few highlights:

  • Powered by AI, the On-Page SEO Checker evaluates 94 parameters that impact search rankings.
  • The resulting report addresses every metric in detail, so you know exactly how your page compares to the competition–and what you can do to leapfrog over them on the SERP.
  • Instead of cross-checking content and schema with generic SEO standards, the SEO Checker evaluates your page against hyper-specific ranking signals within your unique industry.

SE Ranking offers our audience complimentary access to its tool for 30 days (no CC required to sign up), so make sure to take advantage of this free trial.

Conclusion

If you put in the hard work and time, your website could benefit significantly from the next Core Algorithm update. You still have time to launch one or two Micro-SEO Strategies ℠ , so don’t delay.

If you don’t have time, resources, knowledge, or the desire to deal with search engine optimization, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.

Cheers,
Chris
