Stay in the Know: SEO News Roundup on the Latest Updates

Wow, what a busy month for SEO! Instead of a single tip today, I’ve got more of a news roundup for you. Check out the video above for the latest updates on SEO.

Don’t have time to watch right now? Here’s a brief rundown of the topics I discuss in the video:

There was a massive leak at Google that exposed its internal documentation. While the content unveiled a lot of ranking signals that were already common knowledge, there are definitely some golden nuggets buried within the documents. You can be sure SEO strategists everywhere are combing through the pages as you read this.

BSM published another case study last week, this one about an edtech company. We helped them get to the top in Google for their main target keyword in less than three months. Check out my post on LinkedIn to learn more.

If you use Google Business Profile, you should know the chat and call history will no longer be available as of July 31. Consider downloading your history and storing it somewhere safe so you don’t lose the data.

Worried about keeping up with all that’s changing in Google Search? With AI Overviews rolling out, we’re hosting a short and sweet webinar on Wednesday June 12 at 11:30 a.m. EDT. We’ll explain what AI Overviews is and how you can optimize your site for this new feature. And if you want a more in-depth training, attend our half-day course on Thursday, June 20 from 11:00 am. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.

Last but not least, I was honored to speak in China earlier this month as part of TCWorld Shanghai. I talked about how features like AI Overviews are changing content marketing, and I gave my presentation an international spin. If you’re interested, you can watch the entire presentation here.
